The Watcher - Excerpt from Denver:Undead - Exordium

The knife lay inches away, useless. Blood sprayed across Malakai’s face. The man reached out to push him away, screaming as he realized his fate. Malakai batted the flailing hand away and sunk his teeth deep into the man’s neck, tearing and ripping the flesh. The body beneath him struggled for another moment and then went still.
